Guess who’s actually blogging about a trip while it’s happening? Funny story, last year around this exact time I was in Australia having the most amazing adventure ever… and I didn’t blog a single word about it until way later. Total fail. 😅
But this time I’m doing it right! Currently sitting in a tiny coffee shop in Hong Kong watching the city outside the window and it’s just hustle and bustle in the best way. The energy here is NEXT LEVEL. Neon signs everywhere, people rushing, amazing smells coming from every corner. Had the best dumplings of my life from some random street stall and I don’t even know what was in them but I want more.
Took the ferry to Macau yesterday and wow what a weird cool place! It’s like someone mixed Portugal with China and added a bunch of fancy casinos. The old streets with cobblestones and pastel-colored buildings feel like Europe, then you turn a corner and BAM – giant modern hotels. Walked up to the Ruins of St. Paul’s (just this massive stone facade of an old church) and ate Portuguese egg tarts that were still warm. So good.
Going to share heaps of photos from both trips, the Australia ones I never posted and all the new stuff from here. Better late than never right?
